Million Dollar Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is one of the most popular hair removal treatments for the face.

The treatment is performed by using a scalpel to exfoliate the dead skin cells from the face, while also removing the soft peach fuzz.

The instrument used is a sterile surgical scalpel blade, which gently removes the top layer of the skin, the stratum corneum and vellus hair.

Skin is left incredibly smooth, with a fresh look and the skin will be visibly brighter. Skin tone evens and boosts fibroblast cell turnover, helping rejuvenate the skin.

Treatment Protocol

• Consultation – either in person or virtually over zoom.
• Make-up removal. We remove make-up, and cleanse oils and products from the treatment area on the face. We would prefer if you arrived without make-up, however, we realise that make-up isn’t always possible to remove before a treatment.
• Cleansing process – initial cleanse to remove surface impurities from your skin.
• Double cleanse – to ensure your skin is sqeaky clean before we begin the dermaplane process.
• Million Dollar preparation and application of a specialist balm to help the blade glide across your skin. For this process, we will use the brand new Million Dollar specialist Dermaglide Pro scalpel tool, with a surgical blade to exfoliate the skin and remove vellus hairs.
• Application of specialist Million Dollar serum to help tone your skin and make it glow.
• SPF 50 with a hint of a tint will be applied to help protect your skin. We advise SPF 50 is used every day.
• Ice-globe lymphatic treatment.

N.B. The Dermaplane procedure is painless, however on occasion, there can be small grazes, which is entirely normal.

Pre Treatment

Before treatments, please let your skincare specialist know if you are on any medication (topical and/ or oral), have any medical conditions, or are being treated by a physician for any conditions. Let your skincare specialist know if you have been diagnosed with cold sores or herpes simplex or if you keloid scar. No shaving, laser treatment, peels, waxing, or aggressive exfoliations one week prior to treatments. You should wait 48 hours before or after to receive any anti-wrinkle injections /dermal fillers to receive treatments.

Who can’t have Dermaplaning?

• Under 18’s
• Pregnancy/ Breastfeeding
• Irritated skins – sunburn, sores and lesions
• Skin conditions e.g. eczema and psoriasis
• Prescription medication to treat skin conditions e.g. Roaccutane – 12 months
• Localised Skin infections e.g herpes simplex (cold sore virus)
• Keloidal/ Hypertrophic Scarring
• Blood clotting diseases/ blood disorders
• Blood thinning medication
• Diabetes – to be discussed
• High blood pressure/ heart disease – to be discussed
• Skin cancer/undergoing cancer treatment e.g. chemotherapy and radiotherapy
• Auto immune diseases – to be discussed
• Use of retinols/vit A products
• Scleroderma

Aftercare

• SPF50 for all clients
• No swimming for 7 Days
• No excessive exercise, heat treatments or makeup for 48hrs
• No exfoliation for 7 days after
• No other facial/body treatments for 2 weeks
• Avoid products such a retinol for 7 days before/after
• Stay well hydrated
